On behalf of the extraordinary women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omicron Mu Omega Chapter, welcome to our website. As you will find throughout our site, our chapter’s focus has been Service to All Mankind in Dallas, Texas, and the surrounding communities since 1984. We are actively engaged in working with the community to implement our international program, “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service,” set forth by our 2018-2022 International Sorority President, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover. Through this program we promote and support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), women’s health, building economic legacies, the arts, and making a global impact. We are also devoted to local initiatives that address education, domestic violence, hunger, health, and civic engagement.
Our chapter is home to more than 500 dynamic, energetic, and service-oriented women, including the Sorority’s International First Vice-President, Danette Anthony Reed. We are also proud to sponsor two undergraduate chapters, Theta Theta Chapter located at Paul Quinn College, and Sigma Kappa Chapter located at the University of Texas at Dallas.
It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as the 2021-2022 president of Omicron Mu Omega Chapter, where the hallmarks of our chapter are our service and our sisterhood. In fact, our service and our sisterhood are entrenched in all that we do. Our sisterhood is so important, that it defines our service. Ours is a Sisterhood That Yields a Legacy of Excellence. We are grateful that you have taken the time to browse our website to learn valuable information about our energetic and hard-working chapter and our service initiatives. We hope to see you at our future events!
With a Heart for Service and Sisterhood,
Dannielle K. Taylor, Esq.
