Cultural Music Exchange
Only the Best
Youth Leadership Institute cohorts expand their cultural experience attending the annual Scott Joplin Chamber Orchestra of Houston in concert at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters. The Scott Joplin concert features the talents of youth ages 8-15. Youth demonstrated their skills through song or playing instruments as they played classical, jazz, and hip hop selections.

African Art Exploration
Understand and learn about different cultures
The young leaders of YLI went an art exploration to learn about the African culture and the art of African mask making. Cohorts created their version of African mask art by making 3D African mask creations.
